SURFACE LAYER
The top hard wood layer measuring 1/8 inch is protected with 7 coats of UV cured, formaldehyde free, acrylic varnish and Aluminum Oxide Crystals to ensure the durability of the wear layer.

Our top layer is 1/8" solid wood with a vividly aesthetically pleasing and detailed hand distressed technique with hand-scraped edge and ends. Our smooth and rich flat engineered wood flooring also has a 1/8” thick top layer with micro-bevel edge and ends.

7-Ply Cross Grain Construction
There's strength in numbers. Every Urbanfloor™ hardwood floor is constructed with seven plies for optimum strength and durability. Each ply is laid cross-grain to those above and beneath it. With each ply reinforcing the next, and with the strongest resins bonding all layers together, the combined result is far stronger than a single solid piece of wood — warranted not to warp or buckle.
