{"id":696,"date":"2012-11-07T03:34:34","date_gmt":"2012-11-07T03:34:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/urbanfloor.com\/blog\/?p=696"},"modified":"2017-10-20T18:55:22","modified_gmt":"2017-10-20T18:55:22","slug":"fear-of-frying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urbanfloor.com\/blog\/fear-of-frying","title":{"rendered":"Fear of Frying!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><strong>Fear of Frying!<br \/>\n<\/strong>by<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/urbanfloor.com\/blog\/ask-ron\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Ron Call<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many times through the years as I\u2019m measuring a customer\u2019s home for new flooring the same question arises time after time.\u00a0 I think I might want hardwood in my kitchen but I\u2019m afraid of it getting wet.\u00a0 There are many factors to consider when choosing new flooring such as cost, appearance, wear etc.\u00a0 Each type of flooring whether choosing wood, laminate, tile, sheet vinyl or vinyl composite tile (VCT) all have advantages as well as drawbacks.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_697\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/urbanfloor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/2012-Ron-Head-shot.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-697\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-697\" title=\"2012 Ron Head shot\" src=\"http:\/\/urbanfloor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/2012-Ron-Head-shot-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-697\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>Ron Call, your Urbanfloor Guy<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n<p>Tile is hard under the foot when standing and cooking and is cold on your feet when you\u2019re making your morning coffee at 6 am.\u00a0 If the rest of your home and adjacent areas like your dining room or breakfast nook have beautiful hardwood, using sheet vinyl or VCT will probably detract from the overall look of your home.\u00a0 Have no fear; I\u2019ve installed hundreds of kitchens with great success.\u00a0 Here are a few things to keep in mind when your floor is being installed.
